Jewelry Care Guide

Reduce exposure to chemicals

Looking after your jewellery starts at the beginning of your day. Exposure to soaps, perfumes and lotions, including fake tan, hand-sanitiser and deodorant/body sprays, can result in tarnishing your jewellery over a longer period of time.

To prevent this we suggest waiting some minutes for any of the above to settle after applying, before putting on your jewellery. And don’t forget to remove your jewellery if you’re reapplying throughout the day.

Remove the REG

We wear your jewelry every day, but to keep your jewelry in tip-top shape, we strongly recommend that you remove your jewelry every time you wash or sanitize your hands, exercise and shower.

Relocation, protection and storage

Moving, protecting and storing When you are not wearing your jewelry, where you put it is just as important as when you are wearing it. It is best to store your favorite jewelry in a clean, dry place, such as a jewelry box or fabric-lined case.

If possible, keep your jewelry in an airtight container out of direct sunlight to prevent tarnishing or oxidation. If you don't have any of these items (start looking for the perfect jewelry box right away), then the fabric bag your jewelry is in is a great "in-between" place to store your jewelry. Please note that we do not recommend using our boxes for long-term storage.

We also recommend storing the same metals together, as mixing silver-plated and gold-plated jewelry for too long can cause a loss of shine. Don't worry you're a mixed metal girl, styling together every day won't cause any harm.

Rejuvenate with a good old favorite

You should polish your jewelry every few months. Gentleness is the key! We recommend that you use a microfiber cloth or a professional jewelry cleaning cloth. It is not recommended to use other products or chemicals on gold-plated jewelry. Silver pieces can be gently cleaned with warm soapy water. Please note - Daisy does not offer re-plating of jewelry, so it is important to follow all of these care tips to keep your jewelry sparkling for years to come.

How jewelry loses its luster?

How To Clean Your Jewellery?

Step 1 To deep clean your jewellery you need a specialist jewellery cloth that has not been chemically treated. Alternatively, you can use a good quality microfibre cloth.

Step 2 If you’re a Golden Goddess this one’s for you. No chemicals or jewellery cleaning agents, such as ‘dip’ polishes, should be used on gold-plate.

Step 3 Listen up Silver Siren’s! To keep your jewellery shining bright you can carefully clean your pieces with a soft toothbrush and warm soapy water. You can then pat dry with a soft cloth.
